Builders Compensation for Non-Immortals upon completion - written by Titanus 2001
Be sure to fill out an application posted on the mud, HELP BUILDERS.
THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME.
New: New builders may only have 50 rooms for their first area. and must be at least level 50 on the main game site. (some exceptions)
less than 50 rooms = 0 exp
first 50 rooms = 8mil exp per room
50-100 = 7mil exp per room
101-150 rooms = 6mil exp per room
151-250 rooms = 3mil exp per room
250-500 rooms = 1mil exp per room
*example: 220 room area and get 8*50 + 7*50 + 6*50 + 3*70 = 1.260 bil exp
newbie areas can be no larger than 50 rooms, lowbie 100, mid 250.
A bonus of 300mil exp will be granted for areas that are at least 150 rooms and are for high level (levels 95+)
Other considerations will gladly be made, such as stat increases, special items, guild houses etc. Once the area has been beta tested, checked, tweaked and added to the main site, the builder will be rewarded.
Some advice
When making an area several things need to be considered. An area is comprised of 6 files: world, zone, mob, object, shop, and help. Areas that do not have shops that sell/buy items do not need shop files.
Typically, you will have written about 3/4 of a page of information for each room you create, the amount of info lessens per larger area. So, if you write a 220 room area, think about that fact that your writing enough material to sell a book. The amount of information is not always condensed, objects and mobs are mostly statistical.
